Open Vehicle Safari Tours
We offer a 2 to 3 day private Safaris, designed for an exhilarating experience featuring Africa’s famous Big 5. We visit the diverse, vast, and thriving Addo Elephant Park. This park promises an enriching journey viewing our magnificent elephants and their tribes, various wildlife, species and ecosystems, encompassing multiple biomes. We also visit the Private Schotia Game Reserve which provides an up-close experience of Africa’s wildlife in their natural environment, undisturbed by large crowds and vehicles. With guaranteed sightings of lions on game drives, this promises a thrilling adventure. Choose from an early morning, sunset or evening open vehicle game drive for a more intimate experience. All game drives include snacks.

The Gqeberha, formally Port Elizabeth private City Tour, in the cosmopolitan Nelson Mandela Bay, one of the oldest cities in South Africa. Contact us directly to book a private excursion. We collect and drop you off at the dock. Experience a 1 day safari at Addo Elephant National Park to view our majestic elephants, also home to the Big 5 or take a city tour to learn about the diverse century old stories Port Elizabeth has to offer visiting sites such as The Donkin Reserve. We can travel the beachfront to SANCCOB where you will learn about the secured historic victory for South Africa’s critically endangered African Penguin before taking a journey down our beautiful coastline with jaw dropping seaviews. Sit down for lunch at the historic Sacramento restaurant while enjoying a wide view of the coastline.
Garden Route Tours
Main Tours & Travel offer 2, 3, 4 and 5 day private tours down the Garden Route. This tour is customisable or it can be booked as a pre-designed tour. Garden Route tours stop at popular destinations like Addo Elephant National Park, Tsitsikamma, Knysna, Pletternberg Bay, Oudtshoorn, and Wilderness. All tours are private travelling in our own comfortable, safe and clean 7 seater VW minibus equipped with aircon. Garden Route Tours allow for flexibility and are guided by experienced guides with vast, qualified knowledge and personal experience. Itineraries can cater for historic stories, adrenaline activity experiences, scenic walks, beautiful beaches and harbours, indigenous biome and iconic tourism highlights. The Garden Route tour promises an unforgettable landscape trip.
Shuttle Services
Main Tours & Travel promise you reliable, safe and comfortable travelling, transported with qualified, highly experienced and knowledgeable drivers. The shuttle service makes use of our own 2 litre, VW 7 seater minibus. Our transport services include hotel-to-airport or airport-to-hotel transfers for international tourists. We also provide transport for corporate staff visiting Port Elizabeth on teambuilding excursions or regional office meetings. This transport service includes airport pick-ups and drop-offs, transport to and from hotels and offices, and transportation to various activities. This is a dedicated and privately booked service for each day the trip lasts, and includes staying onsite if needed. It includes pick-up and drop-offs to the company’s planned destinations.

My name is Sivuyile Mhlifili, owner of Main Tours & Travel. I was born in Umtata, Eastern Cape. Growing up, I was always fascinated by history, culture, and the beauty of our landscapes. Tourism gave me the perfect way to connect these passions—bringing people together, creating unforgettable experiences, and showcasing the richness of our country to the world. I am a qualified tour guide and driver, and my aspiration is to give my clients, local or international, the opportunity to create lasting memories while ensuring the safety of every traveller on journey. What excites me most about tourism is seeing the smiles on traveller’s faces when they discover something new, whether it’s hearing the untold stories of our heritage, connecting with local communities, or simply enjoying the beauty of our wildlife and nature. It also gives me great joy knowing that every trip we plan doesn’t just benefit the traveller but it leaves a positive footprint on the people and places we visit.
